3rd Generation The Japanese and American Gen III

My wifes 1994 camry was made in Japan, while my 1992 was made in America. Is there any difference in reliability between the two?? Were they made to the same specs? Hers has over 200k on it, while mine only has 106k. hers runs awesome, I guess mine runs awesome too.

Thanks,
Adam

I have to ask, how can you tell the American ones from the Japanese ones?

If the first character of your VIN number is a J, it was made in Japan.

Occasionally, when you go to the dealer for parts, they'll ask which country it was made in because the parts are different. I remember the front window regulators being that way on my '92 Cam.
