3rd Generation Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Question

My '94 Coupe has an issue...My right rear wheel feels loose when you kick the tire. I have always properly torqued the lug nuts and have checked them to make sure they are tight. I think the issue may be a little play in the rear wheel bearing, possible at 230,000 miles. When I set the e-brake and kick the tire, the loose feeling is gone. It feels like the hub is loose or something. I have no growling noise like a rear wheel bearing going bad. Has anyone had to chage the rear bearing/hub assy? It looks like a PITA, any input would be helpful. It's not that loose feeling by the way, nothing dangerous.
Thanks!

I've changed out both of my rear bearing cartridges. My Camry's symptoms were different than yours, but I think you're right about yours being a bad wheel bearing. It's really fairly easy to replace. Here's a link to the DIY thread I posted: Linky

Thanks a ton BMR! I searched and could not find your thread. That's why I love this forum. So there are no other attaching points. I thought that I read somewhere else that a bolt threads throught the back of the hub and suspension bolts have to come off? I'll trust you more though, thanks!!!!

You're quite welcome dino! I think if you don't have ABS brakes, the bearing inside the cartridge can be replaced instead of replacing the entire assembly. I remember seeing online somewhere that on those cartridges, there's a huge nut to remove on the backside, and then the bearing can be pressed out and a new one pressed in. But with the eBay cartridges being only $100, by the time you've bought a bearing and paid someone to press it in, you're spending about the same money, not to mention putting up with more hassle.

On the suspension bolts, you might be thinking of the front wheel bearings. Those require disassembling some of the suspension, and therefore are a PITA to replace. I did both of those too. I also posted a DIY thread on those as well; there's a link to it in my rear bearing DIY thread.
