GEN 3: 93 Camry, car light next to speedometer

Hi,

I have 93 Toyota Camry, on the dashboard it has a small orange CAR picture light with small lines at the rear of the picture. It is location on the left side of the dashboard next to speedometer or odometer. It is lighted up from last 3 days, I know what that means. I don't have owners manual too. Can you PLEASE help in getting know what the means? THANKS in advance.

Sandy.

^ +1. Have someone step on the brakes with you behind the car so you can check which one is out. While you're back there, you might as well check the reverse lights along with the lower filament of the brake lights. You can check the lower/dimmer filament by turning the parking lights on.

Good luck. All my rear lights are working, but my dash light is still on.

^Sounds like you have an issue with corrosion or resistance in your tail light circuits. Your bulb sockets would be the best place to begin looking at.

That would make sense, I've got corrosion everywhere else! LOL

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

Off topic, but I really wish I had this feature on my gen 5.5. I know it was sometimes problematic but I think the good outweighs the bad. I had a tail light out earlier this year and had no clue, which is when I thought about the 'lamp failure' feature on the older Camrys.

For future refrence, your owners manual tells the meaning of all the dashboard lights.

The OP doesn't have their owner's manual. Good time to try and find one on eBay
