3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I recently started changing all my dash unit lights to blue, and I've found threads on almost everything....however, the one thing I can't seem to find is how to change the Dash Clock color to blue as well from that nasty white/green stock color?
Does anyone know how to do this? If so could they give me a hand?
The clock is an LED unit and is green from the factory. What you can try is applying some color tinted film to the inside of the plastic lens covering the clock to make it appear blue. This will make it dimmer and harder to read in sunlight, though.

ok ... but theres no way to change the led to blue?
It is an LCD unit not led. I think this is one of the few cases where we CANNOT change the light color short of buying the same LCD with different color crystal in there.
One thing I was thinking...........unless you have a Gen4.5 XLE there is no need for the clock. I was going to take it out and put a piece of black acrylic
there instead and then maybe put a badge of some sort there.

Actually since the light is from an LCD I am not sure if that avenue will work. What people have done is buy the FILTERS that are necessary to block certain colors. There is a thread about this. You could try to buy the blue gel and just put it in front of the clock to see if it changes color. I know that LEDs are a different kind of light and do not work the same as incandescent.
