3rd Generation New intake help

1992 Camry LE: Hey guys. I'm still tinkering with my Spectre filter, but I want to go ahead and move up to the new intake hose and remove my stock one.

I've removed my stock air intake housing and the filter itself, just strapped up the cone filter onto the end of my existing intake hose.

My question is about the little black box that is mounted to the bottom of this hose. I assume this is the oxygen sensor....what would you recommend doing with this whole setup to be able to put in a new hose? I'm sure I'll have to do some drilling, guess I just wasn't sure what to be looking for whenever I do crack that little box open and whatnot.

Thanks again!

That little black box on the bottom of the Intake hose is the Resonator box. Its only use is to reduce the sound. The IAT should have been attached to your stock Filter box. its that cone shaped . The Spectre air intake tube comes with a hole already drilled in it for that IAT. You just need to find a big enough rubber ORing and use that pre cut hole. Correct me if im a bit wrong anyone
Should look like this when finished.

Well, when I removed the stock air filter setup, basically it was just a black box bolted to my body that was hooked up to the intake hjose and it had the filter inside, of course. Didn't see anything else attached to it or otherwise, unless I'm grossly overlooking something. Anybody gotta pic of this item that should have been in my stock filter housing?
