3rd Generation Whatever happened to the raised white-letter look?

Been shopping for tires and looking at other folks' Camrys for some ideas....but....where did raised white-letter tires go?

I LOVE the way it looks on a new set of tires on a Camry...gives it a great racing look right out of the box, but not many people seem to worrry about this detail anymore.

I'm sure my tastes have just fallen to the wayside of the times, but I was curious about some other opinions on this.

Does anyone else dig the raised white-letter look on your Camry?

Maybe if I had a Chevy Blazer or grew a mullet and traded my Camry for an 85 Camaro, but raised white letter tires on a Camry?

I had them, but then again, they were 33"x12.50 mud tires on a lifted XJ

I run "outline" white letter Yokohama's on my chevy truck in the winter months.

I always thought they looked pretty good...but thats my generation. I don't think they would be right for a camry tho!

Hey! Our other car is a 00' Bravada (Blazer) with white lettering on the tires!

They look better on a truck imo

I actually had raised white-letter Cooper Cobras on my Camry a few years back on it and it looked great, in my opinion.

I'm not a rim-crazy kinda guy...I prefer older, simpler rims which is what I'm shopping for right now.

I guess it's because I grew up pretty much underneath the hood of a big truck that it just looks natural to me.

Oh well, sue me fellas....raised white-letter it is.

3rd Generation i did that

Hey guys, to answer the first question.... I actually did the raised white letter look, but I used the Duplicolor tire paint pen, and I think it looks pretty cool, especially when you are passing everyone else and all they see is a white ring....LOL
I have some pics up if you wanted to see them.

What's a Bravada? I was thinking K 10 Blazer. Is that the same thing?
