most females can't drive - was in an accident tonight

I will keep the vulgarities out ...

I was driving on a 3-lanes highway tonight with moderate traffic to a job training. After following a van which was in the fast lane going at 55 for about 5 mins i decided to pass it on the right. As soon as I'm next to the van its driver decided to change into my lanes without signaling, too late anyway. yea I had to swirl to my right & the van still clipped me at rear driver side sent me into a 60 mph spin (a couple of 360s). Somehow I was able to turn on my bright while spinning so the traffic can slow down. I ended up in the shoulder grass, uninjured and exited the vehicle immediately & called police....

The female drive of the van came to the should immediately and I asked if she need any medical attention and she said no. Police officers arrived & exchanged our information (that's all they can do, said). The female drive then complainted to the police that her neck & shoulder was hurting ... I was like _________, _________________________________________________.

I was let go shortly after with her information ...

My car, 97 camry, still drives the same so far, took damages to the rear driver side doors and panels. There might be some axle damage but I can't feel any so far... The rear driver side door is now concave and not able to open. the window can't go all the way down because the bent door. I'll get better pictures when the sun in out ...

lesson: staya away from ______ ______ ______ ______ _______ drivers & stay alerted ...

My suggestion? Upon turning 16, all women are issued a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle. Now, in each of these Beetles is a remote shutoff switch that is controlled by a button on the dashboard of all men's vehicles.

Since men are paying atttention, whenever they see a woman about to cause an accident they'll be able to deactivate all female vehicles in a 100-foot radius and therefore prevent an accident, depending upon reaction time.

Lol, j/k by the way.

But yeah, a lot of women are too emotional to be driving. Driving is a logical activity, not emotional.

Hope you and your car are okay, man.

Blind spot. I bet you had a damn long night, and I got to agree what most collision cases are caused by women (DUI or not).

BTW, I suggest u take a deep sleep and prepare to deal with the situation in the morning, since the ride is not totaled, and it's gonna cost alot for comestic repair.

Good luck men,

Yeah it sounded like you were in the blind spot and the lady didn't care to look over her shoulder or signal while changing lanes. Anywho, glad to hear both of you are okay. Keep us updated on the car.

On the good side, that damage looks fixable without too muvh trouble. And she switched lanes into to, so by the law, she should be 100% at fault. And when you talk to your insurance (don;t wait), tell them she said she had neck pains when you were the one that got spun out.

I almost got hit by three different cars last night, all were male.

One was a civic, racing a VW GTI. The suburban they were behing, passed me, almost clipped my bumper, then they got in front of the suburban and slammed their breaks. Suburban was already way too close to me, and I had to swerve into the other lane. They went from 75 mph down to 30 on the highway!!!!!!! Ugh... much more detailed, but it pissed me off bad.

Yes, I know, females are in more wrecks, and I do agree, on average, they are less safe. I have some female friends that I pray every time I enter a car with them driving.

I'm a good driver though, always alert of what's around me and that has kept me out of many wrecks, including last night being able to get in the other lane. And yes, I have used my blinker for every turn I have ever made, except in parking lots.

Ah, and yes. You know how impossible it is to feel immediate pain after a bump? I was feeling pretty good after I totalled a car and been in several accidents with others driving. The next day was another story. The whole "oh, my neck, my back, my shoulder" is almost always BS and every one claims that right after a wreck.
I've done some police work, and if they refuse immediate treatment, it must not hurt too bad. Glad you are ok and the car is fixable.

True, she should have signaled, but hey, there are males who don't signal either; no need to bring up stereotypes. I can see the psychological aspects behind them though, heh.

I'm sure you would have been just as pissed if it was a guy, heh

At the end of the day, it's good that everyone's ok.

^ That reminds me of my friend's cousin's driving style. Whenever someone pisses them off on the road, they create a box and box the driver in, scaring the driver shitless.

CupCate18, glad you weren't involve in one last night. I hear you about those obviously reckless drivers and I have encounter many in my time. Giving another chance, I'd still try to pass the van on right just because I was alert but not suspecious. I hope that make sense & I do also use blinkers to warn other drivers except when there is no one even close to me.

I'm waiting for the insurance company to call back, I hope they will treat me fairly....

There's exceptions to the rule -- there are a lot more women drivers who do not pay attention to the road. There are guys out there who can't drive either.

Example: Today for instance, I was driving down this street torwards lawrence express way when this grey mustang was going to make a left turn into the lane I was in. He sped out of the drive way so fast that he started to lose control of his car. luckily when he over turned there was an island to stop his car.

He literally turned to much and the rear tires lost grip and he fish tailed for a second or 2. I almost hit the guy.

Then down the straight away after my left turn there was a beetle with a woman talking on her cell phone w/o bt head set (which is illegal now). She inconsistently slowed down and sped up -- then tried to cut me off... gimped twice in 1 day... kinda lucky to avoid both incidents I tell you.

but exceptions to ever rule.

I probably would have done the same thing to pass on the right. I like using my horn a lot though.

I'm not saying I would honk, or that you did anything wrong, but it just happens sometimes.

I agree with Cate....I think most people usually won't feel a less severe knockaround until at least a few hours later if not the next day, so that chick was just crying wolf about her neck.

Hit yer insurance up quick, fast and in a hurry and let them know about that going on at the scene.

Men do get into accidents, but usually because they're stupid (racing, like in Cate's case) or in general effing around or weaving in traffic. Females either can't drive because they get in a super high stress mode (like my mom) or they're doing 5 additional things to driving.

I'm always extra careful in merges or when I move out of lane, I've been in close shaves a couple times (once I was lucky there was a shoulder, or I would've ran into the wall).

I think if everyone actually tried to drive sensibly, neither males nor females can be that bad, it's just that the majority of drivers aren't even close to focusing on driving, let alone driving sensibly.
