3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I am curious to know how many people have the pedal e-brake and how many have the hand e-brake. I have the pedal e-brake, but just about all the interior pics I see have the handle e-brake. My friend has a 94 V6 XLE just like mine and he has the handle e-brake. Does any one know why there would be such a difference?

i think from what i recalled.. the V6s on the gen 3/3.5 with the V6 automatic had the pedal park brake..
~ correct me if im wrong ~
*side note*
they changed the name from "emergency" brake to "park" brake cause a manufacture got sued over it .. someone pulled the leveler during an emergency situation and the rear locked up and cause em to go spinning out and causing some damage not only to the people in side the other but other people and stuff as well.
agreed with it not, but my instructor (whos been in the auto industry for over 20 years) told us that.. and it does make sense..

Yea V6 automatic gen 3/3.5 had the pedal brake except for the V6 SE automatic model while i4 gen 3/3.5 had the hand brake. Also V6 manual regardless if it was an SE or not had the hand brake.
