To those of you with turbos

Naturally upgrading to turbo is one of my future goals. But I can't help but notice that the oil filter on the 5sfe is facing downwards. And, well, you're supposed to prime an oil filter b4 you start your car during an oil change or it will supposedly ruin your turbo. So, have any of you relocated your oil filter? Or how do you get around this problem?

my oil line always has oil in it. your turbo will be fine it takes only a few seconds for your oil pump and sump to circulate. even during an oil change you can't remove all the oil in line. its not going to drain backwards. oil is pretty residual, its always there and lubricating. oil pressure isnt weak. its like 40-60 psi and moves fast to lubricate the internals during start-up.

I have not relocated my oil filter due to limited room under the hood. plus I'm yanking the motor out soon for mods, and dont want to make it more difficult. On another note I've done remote turbos that had ten feet of braided oil line feed, and my buddy asked the same question but to assure him I undid the feed and let about 1/10 of a quart drip on the floor.

Don't know if that answers your question, I'm kinda drinking and hella tired from working today .
