3rd Generation Toyota Radio

Hi everyone,
I have a 92 camry and want to replace the old radio with a newer toyota radio. I was wondering if this radio would fit into it and if it would work.

I would like to use a toyota radio to keep it stock looking. Thanks

Can you take your old radio out and do a visual comparison between the connections at the rear? And make sure it's the 7 7/8" across like its stated? Those are the only red flags i see so far. But remember, your sound quality and features goes through the roof when you go aftermarket.

Yes it will work the harness is identical and it is exactly double din size.

You'll need to remove what ever is taking up both slots on yours. i.e. radio/tape deck or am/fm/tape/cubby pocket etc.

My 85 Camry, 95 Camry, 00 Camry, 95 Corolla, 90 Celica, 06 tC and my sisters 96 Corolla, hamsterman's SBC, and YESCA's 93 and 97 Camry and gen1 Solara all use the same harness and have double din slots. The only oddball is my tC which has an additional harness for the steering wheel controls and aux line and the Scion face is a little wider than double din.

I just measured it and it won't fit. The camry measures 7 inches across and won't fit the 7 7/8 in. But I found another one on ebay that looks like it will fit. It looks like the faceplate doesn't protrude like in the other link.

The weird thing is that they look exactly the same just one faceplate is larger than the other.

My fault. This must be one of the first newer style units with the wider face.
