Anyone ever had the problem where the center vents get real loose when cold? I have 2 camrys and BOTH do this. The air from the center vents in the XLE blows so hard and cold that after being on for a few minutes, the center vent flips straight up and points to the ceiling. It wont stay pointing towards the rear seats.

Anything I can do to make it stiffer?

Take the vents out and put some felt or foam where they pivot.

I stuck a gum wrapper in there for now. Ya know, its the stereotypical thing to do.

I took the vents out and put a small washer on the pivot. It works and doesn't cost anything if you got some washers layin around. Just don't loose the little plastic clip when you pop em out.

You are probably one of those guys that can do a major engine overhaul with a paper clip or two.
