Gen 3 TRD And Eibach springs. Are they the same? Not even remotely....

Holy crap. So I'm finally getting around to swaping my TRD Springs on and taking the Eibachs off. Wow, they aren't even similiar. this is the front. I'll be doing the backs in a little bit to see those.

I;ve been buying the same New Balance shoes for like 4 years, haha. Got them off Ebay in March. A while back. Only the 2nd set I've seen for sale.

huh, i never knew that trd ever made anything legit for the 3rd gen camrys... did you verify part numbers? i have an odd feeling those may be 4th gen springs... but you would know best.

Even if that were the case, Gen4 springs work fine on the Gen3; the Intrax springs I got were made for a Gen4 V6, and I have a Gen3 I4, heh

Very interesting......curious though. How hard is it to change out the springs? Something I'm going to probably have to do this coming spring.

Lol change your springs in the spring...

Check out youtube, there's some small examples of how to change out suspension parts, and it doesn't seem any harder than brakes or anything like that.

I am doin that too soon. The whole shocks/struts + springs is too expensive for my broke ass, so just gonna pimp it in town a lil lower...

I know what you mean. What do you call broker than broke

My rear stock springs seem to be sagging quite abit so need to replace them. Shouldn't be an issue with rubbing with my winter tires, but they kinda kiss my 17's if I hit a dip in the road just right.

Have to get my rear brakes put on before winter hits, and need to have it undercoated to try to minimize the rust as much as possible. Looks like coming up will need a new fuel filler neck, possibly replace the tank, and a couple spots in the brake lines I'm going to keep an eye on. No problems with them yet, but down the road, who knows.

Wth, you can tell that just by looking at em? Hahaha

Is it because the coils are more spread out?

Quite interesting. I was always under the impression that one was just a re-badge of the other. Good to know...let us know what differences you feel between the two when you've driven on them for a while.

just look at the differance in the coils. the TRD are spaced further apart and are thinner then the eibachs. they actually looka alot like my sprints cept they're not blue and thoes were soft. but liek King said...we'll find out soon. that things gonna be low too. the eibachs are what 1" drop? that looks a good inch shorter then the eibachs. maby they are sprint copies.
