Rims and Lowering Springs??

Can i go with an 18 x 8 rims(what size tires?) on my 99 Camry that won't cause any rubbing. Or should i go with a smaller size? Also want to lower the ride so which springs do you guys suggest??

Thanks Apbt

I personally wouldn't run anything bigger than 17'' on gen 3/4 since their body are "skinny". Beside, it's also recommended that you put the wheels on and have a look before decide to drop it.

you can go with 18x8 ... but i prefer 17s for the gen 4, just because of its "slim" body styling

definitely lower it if you get 18s, but you should lower it regardless of wheels IMO ... how much you lower it will depend on your wheel choice, but there will defintiely be a rub-free setup out there

Yes, please lower it if you're gonna put 18s on there.

If you are getting 18x8 wheels, i'd suggest going with a +35 or +42 offset

I think i'll go with 17 x 7 just so i won't have to deal with the hassle of rubbing or rolling the fenders.

Also if i go with 17's what size tire should i go with and how much should i lower the ride??
Later today i will post a pic of a couple of rims i'm looking at.

Laterzzz Apbt

the correct tire size for 17s are 215/45-17 or 225/45-17 for a slighly more "meaty" tire

i will be getting 17x8 +35, and wont have rubbing issues

3rd Generation

Just for a good priced rim and an amazing look! (what im purchasing in a few weeks) go to http://www.edgeracing.com/1995/Toyota/Camry/wheels/17/ and look at the Enkei Wheel Rs7 (silver). they are 17" (also have in 18") and only $70 a rim! wheel/tire packages only start at $499!!!! im not getting the tires off here but i am getting the Rs7's and cant wait. they also have alot of good priced rims so check em out! The tire size that comes with them if you do bundle rims like these are 215/45R17 ill post up pics when ever i get my rims! they wont be on the car for a lil while until i can afford some decent tires but i want to get them before they run out or dont have the sale anymore

Hope I helped.

Chris

^ Nice. The RS7 do look nice. Personally I would go for the RSV. Good choice nonetheless

These are the one of the rims i'm thinking about. Keep in mind that my car is getting a paint job all white. What do u guys think of these rims on a 99 white Camry or should i consider a different color and rim??
