Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
So im almost completly done with the RMM Front lip and want to lower!
just need to know, will the Sprint Springs for the Gen 3 Camry work for the V6 as well?? or do i have to get special springs for the extra weight of the V6. I just find sprint springs for the 92-96 camry but with no specific engine (the V6 of 4 cylinder) i believe the drop is 1.8"
I was gonna say something but than realized. i have No idea what the anwser is but good question. They never do specify for certain weights do they!. But damn I mine as well say it anyway. I don't think that having the different engine would effect the springs so. Probably will work on either the 4 or 6
if you have the v6 you shouldnt get the one made for the I4 as the v6 are heavier in the front and will make the 1.8 into the 2.0+..

i ran sprints on my gen3.5 V6. if you get them...you really should get a tight set of shocks to go along with them. sprints are not a good spring. they have a larger drop that will be a 2" drob because of the differance in weight and they are soft. with stock shocks youll be bottoming out alot and they will sag fairly quickly. tokicos are the only shocks id use with them. personally id never get them again. id go with somthing stiffer and slightly higher so you dont rip that new lip off.
hey guys thanks for the input, and yes Im on stock wheels right now but will be getting 17's for Christmas! but i was definitely going to get tokico shocks as well but what do u think would be a better spring then? i still want a nice drop but not a crazy one that will for sure rip off the lip if i go over a speed bump lol
Since you got the V6 camry the H&R Sport springs made for the V6 looks better then the drop for the i4 camry with H&R Sport springs made for the i4. Look up Eyeball's car both of them have the V6 with the V6 H&R Sport springs and the drop is nicer looking while not dangerously low.
Or you can try the Tein S-Tech Springs made for the 99 Toyota Solara V6 on your camry on Milt's V6 camry it dropped it lovely and it looked sick. I have them springs on my i4 camry but it didn't offer as much drop on the front as on the V6 camry if anyone wants to know.
Also forget about the kyb struts just get the Tokico struts I have them and the performance is nice but very comfortable in the streets and I live in pothole city. Also I believe eyeball had both kyb and tokicos on his V6 camry and surprisingly the tokicos were more comfortable and better handling.
Also since you got the V6 camry and wanting 17's remember to have the speedometer reading as accurate as possible use either 215/50 tires or 225/50 since you have the V6. Maybe you can do 235/45 tires if you getting wide rims like 8" or 8.5".
