jim's fuel mod

Hi you all,

Can some explain this:
http://www.solaraguy.com/viewtopic.php?t=17556&postdays=0&postorder=asc&hig hlight=jim+fuel+mod&start=0

1. Why use an other fuelfilter? (just for the connector?)

I ask this because i want to buy these parts in the Netherlands (europe) where i live. (because shipping cost is very high.....)

2. What is the screw-thread size of the fuelrail

3. Which Walbro pump do i need for 4-6 psi S/C and do i need a fuel regulator?

4. Is there a howto/DIY to make a fuel return line/system incl. fuel presure regulator.

Thanks you all

foist of all there arent alot of us on TN who even KNOW about jims fuel mod or anything about it. theres also no reason to create a return fuel line since Jims design easily makes up for the lean bank issues. but ive never seen one. again, that would be somthing found easier on solaraguy with the other second gen 1mz boosted cars.

190 is what i have and it works great and i didnt change the regulator. but if i were gonna go to 6 id prolly want the 255lph. and bigger injecotrs. but 4 psi, jims mod and the 190 is just fine...even without a tune. you can use a highflow fuel filter but Jims design is setup to use even a toyota facotry which works fine and should for even 6 psi. dont quote me on that though.

Thanks!

I have asked on solaraguy, but not all the question are answered....so i thought give it here a try .

So the best(and cheapest) way todo is now do jim's fuel mod with the original fuel pump. And when i use the 6psi put in the 255 walbro?

What i untherstand from solara ...with the fuelmod and the 255 walbro and the original injectors, 7psi is safe. (i don't wan't todo more then 6psi)

the fuel mod i see as a must but at 6psi ull just about reach the max of your injecotrs so thoes may need to go but you can live with them for the time being. now me, i wouldnt go above the stock 4psi with out an upgraded fuel pump.
