Need help with rime size!!

I have a 95 camry. Now i want to buy rims but people have told me not to get 18inch because they will mess my suspension up and stuff like that. I have stock suspension with Monroe shocks. They tell me go 17 ich. Anybody knows for a fact or experience what size i should get, and does it really impact the suspension or anything else???

I think you should go with 24" spinners. It;s all what you want.

If you go with an 18x7.5 with a...+38 to +42 (IIRC) offset you will be fine. Double check the offset with Milt (SCWEET1) since i haven't been in the camry game in a while.

If your getting wheels better lowered the car even if's just a bit since it's gonna look gay with just 17's or 18's with stock springs!!!

17'' is a common choice around here, but yeah, spare money for a set of lowering springs too.

I got rid of my OZ 18X8 (225/40 tire size ) wheels on my gen 4 camry for the following reasons:
1- tire prices jump alot over 17, about 40-70$/tire, if you want grippy tires which I do.
2-I fitted wider 17X8.5 +35 offset Rotas and can run 235 width tires with rolled rear wheel wells-no rubbing although 18X8.5 may have fit also but we're getting heavy:
3-I lost 4 lbs of unsprung weight per wheel
4-the 18's were white and powder coating was $100/wheel (I was vain here too)
5-There is a bit more give with the 17's but not that different

If all you care about is looks (or what you feel others will think) then go for the 18's. But
its just not that much of a performance car and the 17's are a more balanced, sensible path, besides,
the roadracers generally have 17's which says alot.

I mean not everything is about looks to me. I mean i don't want to go and throw a size where the wheels are gonna "mess up my ride" because they too big like people have told me. But thanx to all you guys have suggested lowering springs. I looked on ebay and they got TENZO and CANUCK MOTOR SPORTS. But i guess ill go with the 17inch just to be safe i guess.

Ya can't lose with 22's! But seriously you should be ok with 18's.

agreed, you'll be fine with 18s. i've been rocking 18s for a few months now and have had no problems. I recommend running 215/45 tires.
