3rd Generation high / low beam question

to all you wiring gurus out there:

say if i wanted to put two different pairs of HID's for high and low beam. (for example..6000k for low beam and 10000k for high beam). is there any way for the gen 3 to have it run just high beams when its on high beam? i dont want two sets running at the same time that would just be too much..

answers not questions please

No, unless you rig some kind of device to stop the current when the high beams are on.

But honestly high beam HIDs are such a waste.
First you cant flash people since the bulbs take time to warm up.
Second HID high beam bulbs are NOT brighter then low beam HID bulbs, unlike 9005/9006 bulbs.
Third If you install a hid bulb without a projector retrofit. the glare will make it basically work like your high beams.

+1

FYI, the higher the Kelvin rating the less light output. i.e. 5000K is a bit brighter than 6000K, and 5000K is way brighter than 10,000K.

i get what you guys are saying
BUT the 10000k and 6000k was just an example. so i could clarify what i wanted to get across.

high beam hids being a waste is your opinion
bulbs may take time to warm up but not forever...
projector retro fit wouldnt matter unless you had a clear front lens for your headlights like depos.

thanks anyways for your guys cents.
so...anybody else know if its possible to isolate the high/low beam?

reyno, any advice about the idea of having the current to stop when it switches?
