smoke under hood

here is what I have.
I just changed radiator on my 96 camry (4 Cylinder)
when I put everything back together and after about 5 minutes of runing engine I saw that smoke came out from radiator (somewhere).
maybe it is because when i fill radiator i overfill it just a little bit and after radiator became hot the coolant which was on surface of radiator began evaporate?????????????????????????????????????
and one more..... after when I turned on engine and after about 5 minutes of work the big hose which is coming out from the top of radiator heated up faster than big bottom hose. is that normal???????

thank you for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the top or "upper radiator hose" is supposed to be hotter than the bottom or "lower radiator hose." this is because hot coolant leaves the engine and enters the rad through the upper hose, it then cools down in the rad, and then exits the rad and goes into the engine through the lower hose.

you could be just steaming off the spilled coolent like you said. check to make sure your hoses arent leaking where they connect to the new radiator. sometimes older rubber hoses become plasticized so it doesnt make a good seal when you reconnect them.
