corner light help

Hello, fairly new to the boards and I have a question regarding the corner lights on my 2001 camry. My passenger corner light is cracked so I want to replace them with some smoked or clear ones. When I search on ebay, there were two models, 1997-1999 and 2000-2001 yet the pictures on both of these models look identical. My question is if the 1997-1999 one would work on my 2001 camry because they are a lot cheaper.

Yes...they should. To remove, pry the center pin up and lift the pin out. Pull the corner light forward (might need a good tug) to remove.

^ NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 00-01 (Gen 4.5) lights are different, they are bigger.

1st pic is Gen 4.0 (97-99), 2nd pic is Gen 4.5 (00-01)

*Note: Notice the corner lights at the bumper

Yes, big difference between the gen4 and gen4.5 lights. (This includes the headlights, tailights, etc).

you can get clear corner tails off ebay and the gen 4 ones would left and they would look outta place. I had the clear gen 4.5 lenses for my projectors cover and my corner lights wouldnt even reach the bumper because the lenses pushed the bumper down about 1/4". SO if you do get teh gen 4 which your nto but if you happen to get them, they will be a hell of alot shoter then the gen 4.5s and also they wouldnt be flowing with the headlight since they would be basically rubbing up against the headlight housing
