I bought myself all clear tail lights, in a attempt to make them semi legal I'm going to put some tint on the brake portion of the lense.
I need a small amount, and can only find like rolls of red tint. Any idea where I can get a small sheet 11" x12 " is more than enough. And ebay hasn't been my friend.
If the LED's don't light up brightly and disperse the light enough, I know of some websites that sell colored bulbs. Autolumination.com is the first site that comes to mind.

a little off-topic.
but, clear corner directional signals.
Are they street legal as long as they light up orange?
or do they need to be orange & have the amber reflector?

For the clears, as long as the illumination is red and can be seen from whatever the required distance is, you don't have to put any red tint on them. You are, however, required to have red reflectors visible to the rear and side of the vehicle.
You could put red bulbs in the tail lights and if you can see them from 500ft or whatever the required distance is, you are fine.
The front turn signals can be white or amber and there needs to be a white or amber reflector visible to the side. The rear turn signals must be amber or red. White turn signals are unlawful on the rear. Think about it this way, white light means the car is coming towards you - the reason the reverse lights are white. Red lights means you are looking at the rear, same reason you don't have red lights up front.

wait...why would you buy clear tail lights and tint the brake portion when there are tail lights out there that come with red stop lenses and clear lenses over the turn signals? did they stop selling thoes on ebay?
well yes obviously, they are factory. i wasnt talking bout the reflector. you could always use the little sticky reflectors and jsut put one small one on each tail light or open them up some how and do somthing similar.
I was looking to do exactly what is on the prius a 2 x 5 inch section. I need a red reflector for them to even look legal. These all clear are not DOT certified atleast anymore.
Edit Picture of plan.
I though this would mix legality and keep more clear than the ones big bird posted. Plus it adds unique points to the car.
Edit2 : There have been reports of people getting tickets in a rx350 for the tail lights. There factory so its okay.
Check with your local vehicle code. You may need reflectors visible to the side also. If you look at the Prius photo above, there is some reflectorizing material on the side of the lamp also.
You could probably git some gel sheets that we use in the lighting industry. Go to yer local theatrical center and see if they have any you can git from them.
They also have some tail light repair tape you could probably use as well.
