3rd Generation Oil ---> Spark Plug
Hi guys,

I just check my spark plug and there are some oil in it, does that mean i need to replace the cover gasket (easy job) or is something serious such as the head gasket is gone!!!

Actually it's everywhere on the spark plugs!

If it is even on the insulator, take a look at the tube seals in the valve covers. You do have to remove the valve covers to replace them. If it is on the electrode side, it can be valve seals or rings.

Make sure the cylinder head cover nuts are torqued to specs. The Toyota dealer that serviced my car did not and as a result oil got to the sparkplugs.
