3sfe exhaust question

Hi guys,

Just to clarify, my camry is a 94 model, gen3, with a 3sfe motor. I am looking to change the branch(header) and the exhaust. It is obvious that i will not be able to get most of the brands(if any)in South Africa, so i am rather going to ask what specification should be looking for. What sizes have seen the best results and where in the rev range is it more apparent?

I am looking to find out:
the best size of the primaries
the option of header( 4-2-1, 4-1)
the size of the exhaust( 57mm, 63mm, 67mm)
the number of boxes

Currently the car doesn't have any tone, so i am trying to keep it as low as possible without losing too much power.

Thanks in advance

How did you get a 3s-fe in there? did it come swapped to you like that?

for some or other reason, toyota south africa decided to put the gen 2 motor into our gen3. The car is stock.., as is from the factory. The 2.2 and 3.0v6 are gen3 though.

i have a corona '89 limited edition (originally 3s-f) with a 5s-fe engine and im using the 3s-f (carburetor) manifold...
the carb exhaust manifold is a lot bigger than the EFI. it's got two outlets that bolt to the down pipe... just like for the GE. just that it ain't banana branch type... i am thinking of putting the GE one for a couple of months before i turbo the 2.2. these manifolds are pretty rare but i guess in S.A they should be easy to find

If the 5SFE and 3SFE have the same manifold bolt-up, Bosal makes a header that you might be able to get shipped in.

2.0L? bummer...

3S-FE ---> 3S-GTE

Yeah damn!

I was gonna say with a lil added weight of the gen 3 and less output that thing must be a snail .

Check out the Gen 2 forums, they'd probably be able to assist you a lot better man.
