Did the job, so can answer my own question. Three things not as the Chilton manual indicated. 1) Not necessary to remove power window controls as no screw under it . 2) Do have to remove door lock trim piece(unmentioned in manual). And 3) Plastic pin, not screw, must be removed from rear of door before trim panel can be pulled off.
None of this was difficult once I figured out these discrepancies.
Hope this might save someone some trial and error time.
