Just so you know...it's not about the door spring or problems opening the fuel door.
Picked up a 1997 Camry XLE V6 and had to replace a few things. Fuel door was sticking so I had to lube that. Replaced the spring initially cause I thought it was weak...it was just binding too much from the dirt in the hinge.
Anyways, I noticed the fuel door sticks out enough where you could probably git yer fingertips in there and pry it open (busting the latching mechanism). It sits out about a good 3/8" from the body. I noticed there's a big square hold on the door latch. Is there supposed to be something that goes on there to keep the door closed tighter?

I didn't find any thing in the parts listing fer anything like that.
Cause if there isn't, I'm gonna make my own device just to pull it closer in...maybe like a pop in sleeve.
