Ok, i installed a new air intake that sounds badass.. But my question is what is the big hole on the intake for?
Like, there are 3 tube holes.. i dont know how to describe it.. But there is one hole on the left and two on the right. on the right there is 1 small one and then one big one.... wtf do i plug into the big one? i plugged nothing into it and its working fine.
Those hoses that were connected to your old air intake, connects with the new holes on the new intake. You should be getting a CEL if you have nothing connected.
the IAT sensor that was on the rear side of the stock airbox should go into one hole (OEM grommet on it should pop right in)
the other 2 holes ... well ... one could go from the vacuum line that comes off the right (driver) side of the valve cover to the air intake tubing or the plenum/manifold, and the other hole can be plugged

that sensor tells your ECU what the temperature of the incoming air is so it can set the A/F ratio correctly ... not a big deal if its not plugged in, but theres no reason NOT to do it just to prevent any potential problems

ok, i think i plugged up the sensor and everthing, but there is still one extra hose and one extra cable that seem to have nowhere to be plugged in.. so I get a CEL ... What doth i do?
im talking about the ones the went into the resonator or w/e that little black box was that was attached to the stock intake. What doth i do with these? just ignore the cel?
