hmm

Sure it is possible. But would take a lot of parts and labor. IMO I would rather have 4-wheel disc without ABS. Otherwise you need wheel speed sensors, an ABS pump with ABS computer, likely would need to bend new brake lines. Might get lucky and find that the harness for the ABS is already in your car but is plugged off and hanging. I am not sure whether or not 4 wheel ABS was available on '96 models. May just be that front ABS was the only option.

^ On top od those parts, you need new axels, new knuckels. \

And no Toyota's were front ABS, all that I have known have been 4 wheel.

LOL he said "rear dics"..... Not sure about Toyo axles but I know GM axles can have the gear for ABS pressed on and off pretty easily. The DIY for drum to disc is in the FAQ section.

For rear discs, you can use the same Knuckle and hub. For swapping rear drum to disc, you need:
1: Caliper
2: Caliper Bracket
3: Brake line from caliper to body (Like 10 inches)
4: Backing Plate
5: All the parking brake pieces for the wheel
6: Parking Brake Cables (unfortunaley, they are disc specific cables)
