5s-fe timing

i just replaced my distributor (long story) anyways the timing is a little more retarded now, i tried to line it up in the same position as the old one. i need to know which way to turn it to increase the timing. please don't tell me the timing is not adjustable, if i wanted to hear that answer i would read the hanes manual. it can be done so clockwise or counterclockwise? Thanks

on a side note any reason the oil pressure would be running 10 psi higher than usual after the distributor change? thanks guys!

You got an oil pressure gauge hook up on the car? Did you check both pressure under the same conditions?

Maybe the rpm is slightly higher? That would cause an increase in oil pump output, other than that, can't really think of any relationship between oil pressure and distributor replacement.
