throttle valve cable adjustment?

i had really good acceleration before i had the head rebuilt on my 96 camry. could the tv cable have been taken off during the head job? or could it be a tpi sensor out of place? and if so where are they located? maby i can try to see if that is the problem before i take it back to the shop! any help is greatly appreciated!
