Weird... Cold Start = OK, Hot Start = Not OK

Hi everyone... I got a 98 Camry V6. My problem is that during cold starts, the car starts right up without having any idle problems. But after driving for a little while, I turn the car off, and turn it back on, the car has a hard time starting, or keeping a high enough idle. So I have step on the gas quickly once, and it returns to normal idle. I changed the idle air valve about 1-2 years ago but still have this problem. Can anyone shed some light for me?

Check ECT sensor, see if it is within range, also check you coolant level; either one may have cause the ECM to think that the engine is cooler than it really is, which will cause it to get too much fuel.

The ECT is actually new...would a dirty EGR cause this problem?

Is it a Toyota ECT or aftermarket?

EGR, possible but you would have experience some type of running problem before you turn off the engine.

Possible leaking injector?
