but would the same procedure work for the gen 4 taillights because i've come to a conclusion that there isnt no glue holding the gen 4 tailights...because as soft as the headlight was i still wasnt able to pry open the taillight.

try heating the oven and then turning off. after turning off oven place taillights in for a few minutes at a time.

it its not glue holding the lights together, it seems like the two halfs of the taillight were put together when they were "soft enough" to mess aorund with and kinda were fused together or something...sorry words arent coming out right, kind of tired...well extremely tired, im going to bed now...i'll read this in the morning. But more sugguestions are welcomed
BTW i read on an rx7 forum, they back at 250 for 10 and the it came off...but i tried that before btu it didnt work...well it was like 300 for 8min but still nothing. In my pictures there is no sign of glue around the piece i managed to take off

Most likely ultrasonically welded together. Basically, one part is vibrated at a very high frequency against the other. The friction between the two generates enough heat to melt the plastic at the interface and they fuse together.
