Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hello! My name is Alan and have been lurking around the boards for awhile. My girlfriend just bought a camry not too long ago and I have been on the boards doing some research here and there. Her headlights were not giving her enough light output so I went ahead and retrofitted some projectors in some new headlights. Enjoy the pics and let me know if you have any questions.
Hopefully I will be able to get some shots of the beam pattern tomorrow night. I'm a bit busy tonight sorry guys...my girlfriend's car is a 2001 camry 4 banger but as for the projectors and headlight info, I basically bought these:
BTW BustaRice is a top notch seller! Communication was awesome and everything went through smoothly. The passenger side is a bit lower than the driver side. I aimed them before I sealed it up but I guess the projector must have slipped down a bit. This was my first time doing something like this..wanted to test it out first before I do it on my gti . Hopefully I can re-aim them without having to take everything apart
looked a gen4, would love some more info on materials used, and what not, really wanting to do this to mine.
If the headlights were new, never modified I would've taken approach but since I bought them from BustaRice who started on the project, I was a bit limited. What I mean is that IMO the hole that BustaRice cut to put the projectors in were too big so it was difficult to find a proper surface area to drill holes. I had to resolve this problem by using a hot glue glun to hold the projectors in place and seal it up using JB weld.
Here are some day time pictures, no wall shots yet because the girlfriend is still using her car so hopefully tomorrow night. Will keep you guys posted
