i dont think there is a CAI made for the gen4 5sfe, in any case youd be better off with an SRI. its louder, sounds better, you dont have to remove the intake system in the fender, easier to install, wont cause hydro-lock if you go through a deep puddle, and it will give you the same increase in hp as the CAI...nothing.
if ya want one, ull ahve to custom build one with tubing from some source liek specter but i think its just a waste when it doesnt really help over the SRI.
Go with Injen, I have Short-Ram Intake by them, and it sounds great, and feels good at the same time. Plus, it is easy to install. Takes about 3 hours if you don't know what you are doing.
Its been a while since this thread has been updated, but I'm looking into building my own intake, not really sure where to start though. any help would be much appreciated.

As mentioned a good run through the search function will yeild A LOT of info on this, but likely more then ya need. Best place to start would be at your wallet. How much are you willing to spend? from there its just materials and time.
i got an ijen sri on my 4cyl. 01. sounds good. im going to do an upgrade to cai with an ext. piece. i found all the parts on ebay cost me $30 bucks. you just need an l shaped pipe and a 45 degree silicone coupler. a straight coupler for the v6 i found like 7 posts about cai install on solaraguy.com. best thing to do is get an injen sri and mod it to a cai.
I grabbed the Chrome pipe from Autozone $40 cuz I didnt wana wait. I cut the air filter housing to move the sensor closer to the engine then added the intake after that. Buddy had an extra filter lying around so got the hook up! Took about 30 mins, 45 cuz I turned something the wrong way and had to take it back apart.
I'm pretty sure he can. If tuners in Japan can out-engineer Nissan with their GT-R, I'm pretty sure he can out-engineer Toyota with an CAI for a camry.
