First, post this on the other thread u made earlier.

Second, the check engine light only indicate that one of the sensors (many sensors) in the engine ran off. There are varied reasons to have this happens and the only way to know for sure is to have the computer hooked up to the ECU (i'm not taking about PC or Mac here).

But according to what u said, it's most likely the air sensor located on the front end of the air intake.

I installed a cold air intake on my '93 3mz-fe V-6 3 years ago. The engine management is a little less involved, but very similar. I've never had this issue. The stock ECU can compensate for the extra air-to a point of course. I gained extra performance from mine by turning the fuel pressure return regulator adjusting screw out a couple of turns. This may help if your fuel management is topping out. The fuel pressure return regulator is located on the left side of the engine (Right side when standing in front facing your car) it is the regulator on the end of the rear fuel rail, where the return fuel line connects. remove the opaque plastic cover and in here you will find a phillips head screw. back it out 2 or 3 turns and replace the plastic cover. Road test.
