speaker baffles? for my gen 3?

does anyone know where i can get cheap speaker baffles or something similar for my speakers in my gen3?

4 inch alpine sps-400 2 ways.

also, how would i cut some of the lower end to those speakers, the mids and highs are friggin awesome on these speakers but bass distorts at higher volumes which kinda made me sad.

by the way, i am from australia so if yous are able to help me out it will be much appreciated.

You're turning the volume too high or you don't have enough power to do what you want to do. Either way, you need to quit it before you destroy your speakers. You can get an amp or add a sub for the low end.

The distortion is cause by the amplifier clipping and generating DC which is very bad for a speaker because it makes the speaker hot which can cause damage.

thanks for the reply.

so there isnt any way i could cut off some of the lower end frequencies just on the front because the highs are still crisp and dont distort one bit at them levels?

my rear speakers dont distort one bit at the volumes that start to destort my poor front speakers. i dont leave it up there because i know distortion on a speaker is bad for it.

and if i amped the speaker, wouldnt it destory the speaker?

If you have your fade set correctly you can reduce the distortion that your front speakers produce.

You can reduce the bass going to your speakers by using a high pass inline filter, or what Crutchfield refers to as a "Bass Blocker", like these.....

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...filter&tp=1102

They have a few different kinds. You can probably get these elsewhere, I just threw in teh Crutchfield link as an example....
