3rd Generation I want your Pics of Tweeter speakers installed in a GEN3

I just ordered some Component speakers and im thinking about mounting them on the plastic over side mirror bolts. Has anyone installed tweeters in the gen 3 and where? I want to see what options i have. Pics would be awesome!

Thumbs up side mirror good spot

We recently just made custom fiberglass mounts for my friends tweeters right up in that same spot (driver/passenger window corner at mirror backing), turned out very nicely and we could definitely notice a difference (in that we turned the +16khz well down!). I just got back into the apartment, I'll see about getting some pics up later, but I highly recommend that!

Pics would be great! My friend knows how to do custom fiberglass stuff but he said its a pain in the ass. But i think that would be the best place.

yea i got them installed, my tweeters didnt come with surface mounts, so we used the angled mounts and put them on the triangle panel by the side mirrors, the Boston Acoustic SX-60s sound really good, i just need to get them on an external amp so they will have some more power. Anyway, i will try to get the pics up later today, or this weekend.

I installed these a few weeks after this thread started, but I never posted pics of the tweeters.

Here is what I did.

it sucks :\

Sound wise for clarity, albeit not as OEM looking, I think they are best put right above the window/door look controls

That looks nice. But I like the Gen 4's look better of having them mounted up higher on the mirror plate.

Gen 3/3.5s with premium sound had tweeters in the doors. Standard sound didn't have them.
