Assuming you are doing this on a hoist, right? Since you are a mechanic, I'll just go with the abbreviated version.
Anyway, if the vehicle has ABS, the first thing to do is to remove the retaining bolt the holds the wheel speed sensor harness to the inner fender well. Next comes the axle nut after taking off the cotter pin and retainer. Then the two nuts and one bolt for the lower ball joint. Pop the axle loose from the knuckle, stick a 2x4 between the strut spring seat flange and the body to hold the strut/knuckle assembly away. Then it is just a matter of prying the inner joint off from the transmission.
Pretty straight forward actually, shouldn't take very long.
