How can I get my car to start??

hi I have a 97 toyota camry with keyless entry. However, I lost the key fob, but when I unlock the doors with the key the alarm goes off and the car wont start. How do I get it to start?

Thanks
Alex

If it was an aftermarket alarm, or even a factory alarm.

Open up car, quickly look for a small momentary switch button somewheres around the driver's kick panel or general driver side area. Depress it while having the key to on (keep your finger on for more then 5 seconds).

If this works, the Alarm will disarm and you should be able to start the car.

This is only one way of dealing with an alarm. I admit I'm a bit sketchy on factory alarms, not sure if they have the momentary switches.

By the way, the switch should look like this:

I believe it is a factory alarm. Is there no key turning trick with the ignition?
For instance my friends subaru if you loose the fob you can turn the key on an off like five times and the alarm will go off.

If it is a factory system, using the key in the door lock cylinder should have disarm the system. Try both front doors. Is it the horn that goes off or a siren?

N.E.O.

I couldnt find a switch but I tried the thing I mentioned above (turning the key) an it worked. It is the horn that goes off.
