Replace OEM amp ?

I have a 2001 camry xle is it possible to replace the oem deck amp with a after market amp and if so could i get some info please.

yes possible but very time consuming and high chance of not working properly, might as well replace deck and speakers all at same time for the effort

I had the same issue with my gen 3. I ended up replacing the headunit with a stereo from Crutchfield. There is a factory harness tucked in the back behind the headunit that bypasses the amp, at least that was the case with my car.
