Yes what is up with that. Why don't you go to autozone or someone who has the ODB scanner and see what error codes its giving you...

My Taco had more than one O2 sensor when I replaced them. I replaced one and the light came back on, then I replaced the other and the light has stayed off since.

Sounds like you need a new mechanic. Code reading should've told him what was wrong and what to replace. Replacing both at the same time would've been prudent. How long have you been dealing with yer mechanic?

Not a problem with the mechanic, he was trying to save me some money. He figured the front O2 sensor would be the first to change being closer to the converter. I could be wrong but I think the code is the same for both O2 sensors, isn't it? Wasn't too big of a deal to replace the rear one later.
