4th Generation Will Trouble Codes Clear Themselves?

I have a (non-California 5S-FE 2.2 L) 2000 Camry CE that suddenly developed a constant misfire on cylinder #1. Long story short, I replaced the plug wires and the misfire appears to be totally gone. Engine now runs flawlessly.

The trouble is, the check engine light is still on (but no longer flashing). I went to Auto Zone tonight, had the codes read, and its still showing codes P0301, P1300, and P1310.

Does the codes mean I still have an unresolved issue, or could these be "old", pre-repair codes still showing.

Tony

Pull the EFI fuse from the fuse box in the engine compartment or disconnect the battery. Some codes after repair will turn the light off but won't clear until at least 30 or 40 ignition key cycle, and some codes need to have the codes clear before turning the light off. Try clearing the codes and see if it returns.

All OBDII vehicles will clear trouble codes on their own after a problem is gone and the vehicle goes through a predescribed number of drive cycles.

I prefer clearing the codes with a scan tool.
