Solara/MR2 tranny?

Alright, I know that there are many many many threads on this, but I am not asking as broad of a question as most of the threads do, so please just a short and simple answer would be greatly appreciated.
I am going to swap my auto tranny to a manual. I have a 1992 5sfe Camry and I am wondering if any Solara or MR2 tranny will fit. I see that most people who suggest trannys for the swap suggest these, but I was wondering if they would fit my car. If not, I would like to know what car's tranny I would be able to use. Thanks

as far as I know any 2nd gen mr2 tranny will work, and any 1st gen solara trans will work. Also if you have a 5sfte, post some pics.

iirc, you have to get an adapter plate to match it up but it can work. MR2 guys do it when they go 5sfte. PM richierichjp, i believe he knoes a place to source the part from.

the adapter plate is an oem part from toyota that is about $80. it goes from the bottom of the tranny on the driver side to the transmount. The adapter plates are different from the auto to manual. Most of the time when you get a used tranny you will get one with it.
