3rd Generation Diy: Brakes!!!!!????

Okay, I recently posted a brake problem (maybe a month or two back), where my brakes used to SCREEEECCCCHHH when I pressed the pedal down after a short+ drive.

NOW!

What happens NOW is they still screech a tiny bit, but more of a concern is a sort of crunching sound that takes place when I brake particularly 50% of the pedal depressed or harder.

I can almost FEEL it underneathe my foot wanting to give way when I put the pedal down.

This leads me to believe the screeching is a direct brake related issue, while the crunching could have resulted due to the connecting suspension parts or surrounding areas.

Tomorrow morning I gotta be up at the ass-crack of dawn early to change MY oil, the gf's civic's oil, and then mess with my damn brakes.

I plan on taking a trip to the Yota dealer about a block down from my house to get some new shims, and possibly new pads.

NOW!

I've tried several things.

-New pads
-New Rotors
-CRC anti squeek (sp?)
-Other disc brake quiet
-Resurfaced one rotor, seems less screechy
-Checked the Ball Joints for play
-Visually checked control arms, and other suspension parts SEEM okay

After my novel-of-a-post here are my main questions...

While at the dealership, what parts should I look into getting?

And what, if any, questions should I bring up to the mechanics while there?

When I get home and jack up the car, what should I be looking for visually?

How do I know if there is an issue with a surrounding suspension part?

Anything else you guys would reccomend?

Thanks a billion, I prefer not experiencing brake failure!

I would suggest, replacing all rotors and put upgraded ceramic pads. replace all shims and make sure to put in your anti squeek retainer clips on the pads. Also check your master cylinder. You should bleed your brake lines to check for air. Let me know what happens.

Ceramic pads. Calipers may need to be rebuilt.

Replace what the factory calls for. Some aftermarket pads have to be broken correctly.

don't break your new pads. Bed them in properly. Multiple high speed applications of threshold braking without allowing time for cooling, followed by allowing to cool overnight without any additional driving. Do not set the parking brake when the brakes are hot.
