Dangerous brake problems

Well I had this problem for about 2 years and still continues to happen. When I go over a bump or a flat surface while turning the brakes would make a loud grinding noise and the peddle would go to the floor would vibrate. This does not happen all the time, but mostly when it is the worst time it could happen.

I drive a well condition 1999 4 Cylinder Le. It does have ABS. The brakes are about less than 10,000 miles old. I wentto a shop that bought high quality parts from Napa. New disks, drums, ceramic pads, shoes, cables, bleed the lines with new fluid, basically they did not replace was the front calipers and everything is new. The cleaned all the excisting parts. The car tires are aligned.

1. Driving to a store with my buddy and he parked his car, so I decided to park next to him. I slow down, gently pressing the brake into the turn and brakes went out and starts grinding. Luck there was no car in front. My friend noticed the grinding and the motion of the car and flipped out.

2. Stopping at a three way street about a 90 degree turn. I was slowing down and gently stopped while turning at the stop sign. It would not stop at all, made grinding noises thank god it was late and no one was traveling.

3. While going to Napa to get a new battery, There is a small drop, curb. I go and try to park, traveling 5 mph going through the small curb on front of the store. After I hit the drop with gently pressing the brake, it would just grind with out stopping. I almost hit a steal concrete bar. It grind for about 20 sec. I tried pumping the breaks and nothing happened. Then I came again, taking a different path, I it did the same thing.

+++ All the road were dry and had no rocks or dirt. Also the car was driven for about 10 to 20 mins after the problem happens+++

I went three times to check this issue but the two shops could not find anything wrong with the brakes. They mention that there was no rubbing at all and everything is aligned correctly. Right after I went to a shop (13,000 miles ago) To install new Monroe Sensa Trac Struts and Springs, new pillow mounts, bushings and all the good stuff, it did this. With the old shot suspension it didn't do this.

I am thinking that it is an ABS/Computer related problem. There is no evidence of rubbing any where! I even jacked the car up and took a look for myself.

And also, Does any one else have warped out brakes. I do very light travel and the brakes warp out every 9,000 miles or less on my car. I drive like an old grandma because I care for my car and do not want to abuse it. It is an automatic so I do not need to use the emergency brake to park it. I don't use the emergency brake at all. It is not like I take it to the track or something!

Any one else had this problem before, any advice would help. I have to drop it to a shop before I injure myslef or some one else.

I might take a camera with me tonight and record it to give you guys a better understanding.

Determine if this is really a grinding noise from the brakes or a noise from the ABS actuator system.

Well If I brake when not turning nothing happens, but when I brake and turn, or when the suspension is moving while braking, it would grind and peddle grinds also. It is pretty loud. I can be heard from about 15 feet away. The last time they checked the abs, the shop said it was fine and nothing wrong with it.

does sound like something funny with the ABS. check the wires by the wheels to make sure one of the wires being pulled (or damaged) causing the abs to kick in when not needed. i had the same problem with a previous vehicle. what i did to narrow down the problem was disconnect the ABS (pull the plug on the ABS unit) and see if the problem persists. your ABS light will light on the dash and the ABS wont work so be cautious of this, but if the problem doesnt return, then its definitely with your ABS.
