4th Generation Replacement headlights for '99

My dad has the hazing headlights problem like many other Gen 4s I see on the road. I tried some methods of clearing it like Blue Magic restorer and the wetsanding with different grits method but neither of them seem to work. I'd like to fix this problem for the safety of my dad so he doesn't have to deal with the crappy light output haha. Would these replacements work?

tacomonkey, where did you get your headlights from and how much were they that they didn't have the flutes on the housing?

Oh I was thinking it was easy to get some without the flutes for better light dispersion but I guess gen 4s are hard to come by. I'll just get the ones I posted. Is the removal and install easy?

The texture on the glass is supposed to be there because it acts as a lens! The parabolic reflector behind the bulb reflects the light into the lens which properly disperses the light.

The 2000-1 models have polycarbonate lens without texture because the multi-faceted reflector performs both functions. They're also lighter, a bit more efficient in light transmission, and are easier to make a free form design which is why they're now the norm.
