Question Do i need a new gas tank

first off, i appolagize for the pics, it may be hard to figure out what u all are lookin at but ill put a little description above them

anyway...i think i need a new gas tank, for a long time i have been smelling gas and my dad and other people thought i was just stupid or smellin somethin weird.

I filled up today...29$ oh yea!... but i went home and parked my car in the garage. i ended up going to a friends house later on and when i opened the garage i smelt so much gas it was ridiculous, i looked under my car and saw a nice gas spot on the ground...

anyway i drove to my friends house got a flashlight and looked under the car. I saw gas coming out of the whole left side of the gas tank...(if u are looking at the rear of the car). like where the top part of the gas tank meets the bottom..
(the pic looks weird becasue i ttook it completly under the car)

there was also a as puddle under the car...

now it wasnt just the corner of the gas tank but the whole side from the front of the tank to the back (longways).

do i need a new gas tank or what??? its usually not this bad but i filled up for the first time in a while, still i dont think its very safe to start off with and i dont want gas to be wasted... any help??

more pics

Unless it has something to do with the fuel line, it's possible to have a welding shop fix the leaking spot without much cost.

Forget about wasting gas. Any gas smell/leak is very dangerous. Toyotanation needs all the members it can get. Take it somewhere and get this repaired quickly; welded gas tank, new gas tank, whatever.

Your tank is definately leaking. If you are going to remove it, I would replace the tank with a quality used unit rather than spot fix a rusty tank. I have a rust free tank here in georgia on a LE camry that I am parting out.
