ok i have been having problems with my tranmission for like 1 month now when i take off or accelarate to fast my 1995 toyota camry willl not shift gears i have no clue whats going on. i took it to a shop and they told me its 150$ for them just to check it out. my car is sitting in my driveway at the mpment its need to be fixed. i am goign to make it faster then bigbirds but my trannys not helping me. also it seems like all my powers slowly leaving me. today while just taking it for a 1 mile drive it over reved like 3000 rpms and its starting to do it more often. i need to be able to drive this car and i need to know whats wrong with it, cause drivring my little brothers civic is making me mad. i fell like a traitor!!!. when i floor it the car goes up to 40 mph and then will reach 6500rpms and then start to idle down to like 4000-5000 rpms and will finly shift the second gear. am i allowed to post videos on here cause if i am i will make a video on me drving it and how it shifts.aslo anyone who owns a 95 camry with the owners manual please do me a favor and tell me how much tranny fluids susposed to be in the car cause i am goign to try a transmission service kit this weekend and see if that helps.
ALSO IF U HAVE HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS PLEASE SPEAK UP
If your transmission is slipping that badly and you have continued to drive it, it is most likely toast now. Have you checked the level of the fluid? You can get this condition with low fluid level due to a leak, but probably too late now anyways.

Difficult to tell by his description if the trans is actually slipping or if it is simply shifting late. If it is the later, then one can get a schematic of the trans wiring and ohm out the individual shift solenoids including the TCS. If it is indeed slipping then a rebuild is likely in order. Either way the solenoids should be checked for proper resistance. Usually they ohm out around 13-15 ohms. I do not have the Toyota numbers so the 13-15 is a general guide-line. If they all ohm out close to the same then you are ok. Although the TCS may ohm out differently than the others.

the second its happened i put transmission fluid in it
I had a solenoid sticking and was able to drop the pan, remove it (very easy), tested and cleaned it (need an air nozzle and about 60 psi) and never had another problem. Not to say it would solve this problem. If it's slipping that's a different story than not shifting properly. Have you checked for error codes? Key on but not started, O/D button on, then jumper TE1 and E1 on the diagnostic connector. The O/D light in the dash should flash continuously if no problem or flash a code. Four blinks then two is 42. 61-64 are others.
my ES300 does the same thing. i'd get first and second gear and then once the trans warmed up i got 3rd and o/d. its only happened because my kickdown cable was loose (though i doubt that has anything to do with it). but i know my tranny is bad but my fluid is good. my 2 cents
