goodyear tripletred, a good buy?

Hey guys, I need some new tires for my 92 camry, i4 with stock steelies. The tire size is 195 70 14. I'm looking at the Goodyear assurance tripletred, which gets top reviews everywhere i looked.

Just wondering if anyone has expierence with these tires, which i need for the newengland winter and summer driving.

Also a lot of the reviews mention road noise, any problems with this?

Thanks.

I have it, road noise gets excessive only if you pump it up to max. pressure. They're soft and smooth to ride on though.

They do bend rather easily if underinflated also, but they have great traction (maybe why they bend instead of slipping)

If you havent done it already, go to tirerack.com and compare the temp, treadwear warranty, reviws and prices of all their tires in your size. I have used yokohama and khumo tires with great results on gen 3 camry's.

it scored first in its category on both tirerrack and consumer reports. It is an expensive tire though, so i'm trying to get an idea if its performance warrants the price, especially on winter conditions. Also the reviews mention noise, but I feel like I won't be that picky. Since the first post though, sears has agreed to match the discount tire price, saving me 40 bucks per tire, and there is a 10 dollar rebate per tire as well, so il probably get it this weekend.
