Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Thought u might like it, enjoy the new avatar and give the turbo guy a break, he just want to gather some attention before the real showdown since nobody check this section much anymore
very true...but honestly i cant blame them. Camry = fail as far as performance platforms go. but that doesnt stop some of us(including me) from trying. as always, i applaud your efforts...especially since its a coupe.
glad that you came through with the numbers please don't think that I was picking on you, but these days, there's just too many useless threads posted in this forum.
I'm also a bit disappointed by the numbers, but could you post a pic of the graph so that we could see how it looks. What kind of dyno did you run it on? As for the SAE adjustments, that sounds about right anyway.
And the reason why ppl say that the 1mz is still not really worth modding a lot of the time is because of the heavy ass car that it's in as luckynumber5 said....even once I hit 300whp, which should be pretty soon presuming my engine doesn't blow (headers, HKS DLi, meth injection, and maybe more boost), an ek hatch with a simple k20 swap would still hand me my ass night and day. Or an EK with a stock block d-series and boost putting down 200+whp. Comparatively, the camry is just a tough platform to work with

That makes me wanna build it even more, anybody can swap in a k,b,d,h series into a honda and call it a day, hell I did it for 2 years at a shop. Go big or go home.

I share your exact mentality, except I'm a broke ass student
most feel that way untill they see how much it will cost just to be fast. if i hadnt gotten good deals on my performance stuff...i would never have supercharged my car.
