Sudden noise

Ok, all was good half way coming home, suddenly I hear this "heavy" noise.. When I start the car I can hear it, coming from under the hood for sure. maybe silencer? any idea guys?

Oh and yes I passed by a construction site, there were pot holes but that's regular here but yes, noise started after I went over these..

92 camry, 320,000 kms.....

How do you define 'heavy' noise? Did you bottom out and hit the front pipe and crack it?

If you had bottom out and broke the front exhaust pipe, it will cause exhaust type noise whenever the engine is running, you don't need to drive it. You will have to take a look under the engine compartment to see where the source of the noise is.

You will have to check it out first to find out if it is the exhaust that is causing the noise.

I am not sure whether the police will allow you to drive around with a broken exhaust in your city, you might want to do something about that.

Piping job in general is cheap. Order a magnaflow muffler, bring it to a muffler shop and ask them to redo the whole exaust line ^^
