car fogging

Hey Guys,

I own a 93' Camry with 236,*** miles on it and during the winter the windows freeze up. I turn the windshield defrost on full blast and it clears up the windshield but the side windows fog up extremely bad. Do i need new seals around the doors/windows? Thanks for any feedback!

I don't know if you do need any replacements or not, but I know my car fogs up almost every morning, regardless of season. xD
Just set the heat all the way over and set it to normal mode 'Bi level airflow'. Usually works just fine for me.

I don't think it's the best way, but running the A/C with the air still on warm will reduce moisture on the windows.

its all based on moisture. ^ hes right when he says the AC will defog...even if its warm. the AC condenser will remove moisture from the air inside the car...but if you shut the AC off eventually it will fog up again.

3rd Generation

Yeah... I had to use a mix of A/C, heat, and washer fluid to get the right amount of clarity in my windows last winter.

My advice is to warm up your car for a couple minutes before you need to take off anywhere, run the heat and a/c, bring a rag with you as well

You could try some Anti-Fog wipes...

You could also wear a muffler to keep the moisture from yer breath accumulating on the glass...

When I park the car overnight or at work, and the weather is "dry", I open the windows about 1/2" to 1". This allows any moisture that has accumulated in the car to exit and helps prevent frost from accumulating on the inside of the windows. Also take your floor mats out and hang them up to dry in the basement or in the garage periodically. This helps to elimanate moisture from melted snow on the floor mats. Finally, ensure that you set the air intake to "fresh" air rather than "recirculating" air whenever possible.
